As a result of its tax-exempt, nonprofit organization status, several donations are received through the Loveland Parks & Recreation Foundation each year for the parks system.
Donations range from cash to flowers, to benches and trees. The Foundation solicits grants and other private & public funds to enhance its efforts and stretch available resources. Many donors feel the Foundation is an excellent mechanism to provide community assets or to make contributions in honor of their loved ones.
MEMORIAL TREE & BENCH DONATIONS
- Donation Location Limitations
- PLEASE NOTE: Memorial donations are no longer available at the following locations:
- Benson Sculpture Garden
- South Shore Parkway
- Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park
- Tree Donations
Each year the Foundation accepts a number of donations for trees to be planted at a park, in the cemetery, on the golf courses, or along the Recreational Trail System. Donors work with City staff to determine appropriate planting locations. A tree is a donation that keeps on giving to the community for years to come.
- Bench Donations
Benches are a very popular donation item for parks, the cemetery, the golf courses and the Recreational Trail System. Often benches are donated in memory of a loved one. Appropriate bench locations are coordinated with City staff. Small plaques may be placed on the benches in accordance with the City Plaque Policies.
- Memorial Tree or Bench Handout
The informational handout is a printable 3-fold document which will be updated periodically. It also includes the application (above) in a printable format which can be filled out and returned to the Parks & Recreation Administration Office for processing. You will then be contacted by our staff to complete the process of choosing the correct location, receiving the donated funds, etc.

YOUTH ATHLETIC T-SHIRT DONATIONS
The Scholarship Program and Low Income Program allow the City to accept applications for assistance to those families who meet their criteria. Often times, those same families cannot afford to purchase the Youth Athletic T-Shirts which are required for participation in youth sports programs in Loveland. So, the Parks & Recreation Foundation accepts donations of Youth Athletic T-Shirts to redistribute to those families in need. Clean, gently used Youth Athletic T-shirts and cleats can be donated at the Parks and Recreation Admin office located at 500 E. 3rd Street, Suite 200.
OTHER DONATIONS
The Loveland Parks & Recreation Foundation also accepts donations for a number of other special projects or needs. Donors have made contributions for the Youth Scholarship Program, Adaptive Recreation Programs, a Youth Athletic Complex, a Skate Park, Flowers and Recreational Equipment.
Donors to the Loveland Parks & Recreation Foundation can take pride in their contribution to the quality of life in Loveland. Whether it is the sounds of children playing in one of our many parks, the shade of a majestic tree, or the satisfaction gained from completing a special class, the entire Loveland community has something to gain from the efforts of the Loveland Parks &d Recreation Foundation.
If you are interested in making a donation to the City through the Loveland Parks & Recreation Foundation, please contact us and we will arrange the details with you.
