Community members who are interested in getting a closer look at the Loveland Police Department in action can schedule a ride-along with a police officer. The rider must be at least 14 years of age (age restrictions are subject to the on-duty supervisor's discretion). All riders must sign a waiver and any rider under the age of 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Riders are limited to two rides per year.

The Ride-Along Request Form can be brought in, faxed, or emailed to the Police Department Records Unit (contact information at the top of the form.) Signatures are required on pages 1 and 3 for all riders, and page 4 for riders under age 18. The requested Ride-Along Date and Time should be at least 7 days after the request is submitted. Ride-Alongs are scheduled for 2 hours, beginning at 8am, 2:30pm, or 8pm. For more information, please call 970-962-2267. 

Community members are also able to participate in a sit-along with the Loveland Emergency Communications Center. The Sit-Along Request Form can be submitted to the Communications Center (contact information on the form. Sit-Alongs are scheduled for 2 hours, you will receive confirmation and additional information from a Supervisor prior to the participation date.
