ReadMore is the library’s longest-running book discussion group. Readers choose their titles annually, both fiction and non-fiction, and meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m.

This month we will be discussing The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters.

A haunting and evocative debut about a Mi'kmaq girl's disappearance and its reverberations across decades. In 1962 Maine, four-year-old Ruthie vanishes from a blueberry field, leaving her brother Joe consumed by guilt and grief. Meanwhile, Norma, raised in an affluent but secretive household, is plagued by memories that don't feel like her own. As their stories intertwine, this novel unravels themes of family, trauma, and the enduring quest for truth and healing, showcasing the resilience of love across time.
