Topic: Tech Threats – (Part 2)

This two-part talk provides an overview of the digital threats we all face when using computers, phones, and other devices.

Topic points include:

  • How to identify your personal “threat model”.
  • The differences between types of cyberattacks and cyber attackers.
  • How cyberattacks affect both individuals and society.
  • How later talks in this series provide practical tools for protection.
  • How everyone can help to improve the digital worlds we live in.
  • Information on free resources for further learning and individualized tech help will be shared.

Registration guarantees a spot. Event capacity: 70.

Speaker: John Williams

John Williams has worked for 20+ years in Tech, and holds an M.A. in Psychology.

John has a Master’s Degree in Psychology & Communications and has been teaching and building for the web since its earliest days. He is an AARP‑certified technology educator, passionate about making his wide range of knowledge in tech approachable, and its benefits accessible for all ages and skill levels.

He also enjoys iced tea, and occasionally making instrumental music.
