Loveland Museum
$100 ($80 Museum Members)
Instructed by Leah Johnson
Ages 12 and older

Fee includes: one hand-carved Alebrije from Mexico, all necessary supplies to paint, and instruction.

Alebrijes are vibrant, fantastical creatures from Oaxaca, Mexico, symbolizing the power of turning dreams into reality. Through a special partnership with Mexican artisans, you can hand-paint your own carved animal using traditional techniques. This creative process is paired with meditation and ceremony to honor the culture, connect with the energy of your alebrije, and bring your dream creature to life.

Leah Johnson, author of Finding Fantastic Joy, transformed her life from darkness to joy by making both drastic and daily changes, prioritizing joy to navigate life’s challenges. She has built a deep connection with the Divine Feminine, using its healing power to grow and heal. As a certified Intentional Creativity Instructor, Leah now empowers others to find strength, healing, and joy through creativity and spiritual connection.
